A Message From Our President
Throughout our long history of assisting women and families in need, YWCA Delaware has helped to create better lives for the people in our community. In the past ten years alone, we have helped tens of thousands of courageous women navigate their paths to success while their families have access to resources, skills and knowledge to change their worlds for the better. Last year, we had a direct impact on more than 6,000 lives. Thank you for being a part of our YWCA family – you have made a significant impact on these lives we've helped change.
One of the reasons why I continue to support YWCA's work and feel privileged to serve as Board President is because I am connected to an organization that makes a difference every day. A childhood experience shaped my philanthropic morals as I learned to believe that gratitude is best expressed in the way that one gives back to others. As you read about the lives of families we touched last year, my hope is that you are inspired to help others and deepen your personal connection to eliminate racism and empower women as well.
